Joseph was born in 1831 in Hörstein, Bavaria, Germany.  He died at the age of 69 in 1900.

Joseph's first family with Eva Seibel (Bensing)



Joseph and Eva were married in a religious ceremony in 1854 in Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY.  They had four sons and two daughters, named Rosa, Katie, Adolph, William, Charles and Frederick.

Female Rosa
Rosa was born in 1856 in Ohio.

Female Katie
Katie was born in 1860 in Kentucky.

Male Adolph
Adolph was born in 1862 in Kentucky.

Male William
William was born in 1866 in Kentucky.

Male Charles Bensing
Charles was born on January 1st, 1868 in Kentucky.  He died at the age of 83 on March 2nd, 1951.

Male Frederick
Frederick was born in 1872 in Kentucky.


Joseph's second family with Sallie Jackson (Bensing)



They had no children.
