Daniel was born on August 5th, 1950.  Daniel's father is Lloyd Leo Boehnen and his mother is Mary Elizabeth Buche (Roby).  His paternal grandparents were Leo John Boehnen and Elsa Laura Oberembt; his maternal grandparents were Gus Francis Buche and Catherine Genevieve Forrestal (Buche).  He is the youngest of three children.  He has a brother and a sister, named David and Victoria.
