Christine was born on January 28th, 1872.  Christine's father was Laurenz Bowar and her mother was Sybilla Schlimgen.  Her paternal grandparents were Franz Bouvard and Catherine Isler; her maternal grandparents were Johann Schlimgen and Christina Schuetz.  She was the nineth of ten children.  She had seven brothers and two sisters, named John, Mathias, Lawrence, Joseph, Charles, Henry, Frank, Mary and Josephine.  She died at the age of 82 in 1954.
