Mary was born on July 1st, 1867 in Cross Plains, Dane, Wisconsin.  Mary's father was Laurenz Bowar and her mother was Sybilla Schlimgen.  Her paternal grandparents were Franz Bouvard and Catherine Isler; her maternal grandparents were Johann Schlimgen and Christina Schuetz.  She was the seventh of ten children.  She had seven brothers and two sisters, named John, Mathias, Lawrence, Joseph, Charles, Henry, Frank, Josephine and Christine.  She died at the age of 72 on January 13th, 1940 in Ethan, Davison County, South Dakota.

William and Mary were married in a religious ceremony in 1886 in Cross Plains, Dane, Wisconsin.  They had two sons and three daughters, named Ida, Leo, Rosa, Ferdinand and Gertrude.

Male Leo John Boehnen
Leo was born on October 23rd, 1888 in Pine Bluff, Dane County, Wisconsin.  He died at the age of 79 on December 3rd, 1967 in Mitchell, Davison County, South Dakota.  His burial was in Mitchell, Davison County, South Dakota.

Female Rosa Boehnen
Rosa was born in 1890.

Male Ferdinand Boehnen
Ferdinand was born in 1893.

Female Gertrude Boehnen
Gertrude was born in 1894.


Mary's second family with John Hubert Hohn



John and Mary were married in a religious ceremony on November 21st, 1899.  They had no children.
