Nancy was born on February 3rd, 1818.  Nancy's father was Joseph Essex and her mother was Nancy Mcloy.  Her maternal grandparents were James Mcloy and Rachel Moody.  She was the eighth of ten children.  She had five brothers and four sisters, named Thomas, James, Joseph, Issac, William, Elizabeth, Mary, Rhuamy and Hannah.  She died at the age of 88 on May 2nd, 1906.
