Rhuamy was born on June 28th, 1821.  Rhuamy's father was Joseph Essex and her mother was Nancy Mcloy.  Her maternal grandparents were James Mcloy and Rachel Moody.  She was the nineth of ten children.  She had five brothers and four sisters, named Thomas, James, Joseph, Issac, William, Elizabeth, Mary, Nancy and Hannah.  She died at the age of 80 on May 3rd, 1902.
