Josephine was born on April 18th, 1890.  Josephine's father was Joseph John Fergen and her mother was Katherine Elizabeth Schlimgen.  Her maternal grandparents were Mathias Schlimgen and Katharine Elizabeth Schell.  She was the fourth of six children.  She had four brothers and a sister, named Frederick, Albert, Joseph, Herbert and Amelia.  She died at the age of 53 on November 12th, 1943.
