Bernard was born on September 26th, 1883.  Bernard's father was John Hubert Hohn and his mother was Anna Sybilla Schlimgen.  His maternal grandparents were Mathias Schlimgen and Katharine Elizabeth Schell.  He was the oldest of eight children.  He had three brothers and four sisters, named Fred, William, Carl, Josephine, Tillie, Martha and Mary.  He died at the age of 59 on August 19th, 1943.
