Carl was born on February 28th, 1895.  Carl's father was John Hubert Hohn and his mother was Anna Sybilla Schlimgen.  His maternal grandparents were Mathias Schlimgen and Katharine Elizabeth Schell.  He was the youngest of eight children.  He had three brothers and four sisters, named Bernard, Fred, William, Josephine, Tillie, Martha and Mary.  He died at the age of 79 on October 20th, 1974.
