Elsa was born on July 29th, 1892 in Dimock, Hutchinson, South Dakota, USA.  Elsa's father was Mathias Oberembt and her mother was Martha Pollack (Oberembt).  Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Oberembt and Catharina Oberembt.  She was an only child.  She died at the age of 101 in October 1993 in Mitchell, Davison, South Dakota, USA.

Leo and Elsa were married in a religious ceremony on October 22nd, 1912 in Dimock, Hutchinson, South Dakota.  They had a son and two daughters, named Ruth, Helen and Lloyd.

Female Ruth Mildred Boehnen (Chapman)
Ruth was born in 1912.

Female Helen Marie Boehnen (McNamara)
Helen was born in 1914.  She died at the age of 52 in 1966.

Male Lloyd Leo Boehnen
Lloyd was born on January 29th, 1924.
