Anna was born on February 19th, 1862.  Anna's father is Engelbert Schlimgen and her mother is Sarah Trogner.  Her paternal grandparents were Johann Schlimgen and Christina Schuetz.  She is the third of eleven children.  She has six brothers and four sisters, named Joseph, Lawrence, John, George, Edward, Ambrose, Elizabeth, Mary, Christina and Mathilda.
