Charles was born on May 11th, 1861.  Charles' father was Mathias Schlimgen and his mother was Katharine Elizabeth Schell.  His paternal grandparents were Johann Schlimgen and Christina Schuetz.  He was the sixth of fourteen children.  He had seven brothers and six sisters, named John, Lawrence, Mathias, Lawrence, Frank, Augusta, Roman, Anna, Katharina, Katherine, Josephine, Josephine and Minnie.  He died at the age of 67 on July 26th, 1928.

They had three sons and five daughters, named Paul, Charles, Emma, Katherine, Emma, Joseph, Ida and Anna.

Paul was born in 1885.

Male Charles Mathias Schlimgen
Charles was born on October 28th, 1886.  He died at the age of 82 in April 1969.

Female Emma Schlimgen
Emma was born in 1887.  She died at the age of 4 in 1891.

Female Katherine Schlimgen
Katherine was born on July 5th, 1889.  She died at the age of 82 on August 13th, 1971.

Female Emma Schlimgen
Emma was born on June 4th, 1892.  She died at the age of 77 in October 1969.

Male Joseph G Schlimgen
Joseph was born on April 4th, 1894.  He died at the age of 93 in November 1987.

Female Ida Schlimgen
Ida was born on October 2nd, 1895.  She died at the age of 83 in August 1979.

Female Anna Schlimgen
Anna was born on February 6th, 1898.  She died at the age of 87 in November 1985.
