Emma was born on June 4th, 1892.  Emma's father was Charles T Schlimgen and her mother was Anna Wermers.  Her paternal grandparents were Mathias Schlimgen and Katharine Elizabeth Schell.  She was the fifth of eight children.  She had three brothers and four sisters, named Paul, Charles, Joseph, Emma, Katherine, Ida and Anna.  She died at the age of 77 in October 1969.
