Frank was born on January 13th, 1873.  Frank's father was Mathias Schlimgen and his mother was Katharine Elizabeth Schell.  His paternal grandparents were Johann Schlimgen and Christina Schuetz.  He was the eleventh of fourteen children.  He had seven brothers and six sisters, named John, Lawrence, Mathias, Charles, Lawrence, Augusta, Roman, Anna, Katharina, Katherine, Josephine, Josephine and Minnie.  He died at the age of 24 on March 25th, 1897.
