Ida was born on October 2nd, 1895.  Ida's father was Charles T Schlimgen and her mother was Anna Wermers.  Her paternal grandparents were Mathias Schlimgen and Katharine Elizabeth Schell.  She was the seventh of eight children.  She had three brothers and four sisters, named Paul, Charles, Joseph, Emma, Katherine, Emma and Anna.  She died at the age of 83 in August 1979.
