Josephine was born on November 25th, 1898.  Josephine's father was Mathias John Schlimgen and her mother was Appolina M Fischer.  Her paternal grandparents were Mathias Schlimgen and Katharine Elizabeth Schell.  She was the eighth of ten children.  She had six brothers and three sisters, named Frank, Mathias, Roman, Leo, Joseph, Leonard, Bertha, Katharina and Wilhelmina.  She died at the age of 62 on October 6th, 1961.
