Katharina was born on October 7th, 1890.  Katharina's father was Mathias John Schlimgen and her mother was Appolina M Fischer.  Her paternal grandparents were Mathias Schlimgen and Katharine Elizabeth Schell.  She was the fourth of ten children.  She had six brothers and three sisters, named Frank, Mathias, Roman, Leo, Joseph, Leonard, Bertha, Wilhelmina and Josephine.  She died at the age of 73 on November 24th, 1963.
