Louis was born on May 11th, 1894.  Louis' father was Lawrence J.  Schlimgen Sr and his mother was Kristina Wermers.  His paternal grandparents were Mathias Schlimgen and Katharine Elizabeth Schell.  He was the third of eight children.  He had four brothers and three sisters, named Albert, Otto, Lawrence, Rudolph, Mary, Augusta and Regina.  He died at the age of 100 on November 23rd, 1994.
