Otto was born on June 19th, 1892.  Otto's father was Lawrence J.  Schlimgen Sr and his mother was Kristina Wermers.  His paternal grandparents were Mathias Schlimgen and Katharine Elizabeth Schell.  He was the second of eight children.  He had four brothers and three sisters, named Albert, Louis, Lawrence, Rudolph, Mary, Augusta and Regina.  He died at 7 months old on February 18th, 1893.
