Peter was born in 1838.  Peter's father was Johann Schlimgen and his mother was Christina Schuetz.  His paternal grandparents were Joannis Schlimgen and Eva Zeres; his maternal grandparents were Hermanni Schuetz and Gertrudis Schuetz.  He was the youngest of six children.  He had two brothers and three sisters, named Mathias, Engelbert, Gertraud, Sybilla and Elizabeth.  He had a half-brother and five half-sisters, named John, Gertrud, Anna Maria, Eva, Louisa and Anna.  He died at the age of 1 in 1839.
