Regina was born on May 13th, 1910.  Regina's father was Lawrence J.  Schlimgen Sr and her mother was Kristina Wermers.  Her paternal grandparents were Mathias Schlimgen and Katharine Elizabeth Schell.  She was the youngest of eight children.  She had five brothers and two sisters, named Albert, Otto, Louis, Lawrence, Rudolph, Mary and Augusta.
