Will was born in March 1882.  Will's father was Nicholas Seyler and his mother was Elizabeth Ecklin.  His paternal grandparents were Nicholas Seyler and Wilhelmina nee Schilb; his maternal grandparents were Andreas Ecklin and Elizabeth Schrode.  He is the youngest of five children.  He had three brothers and a sister, named Henry, Edward, Frederich and Christina.
